Juliet Trail

Juliet Trail, PhD, is Founder of Courageous Compassion Connection, which offers contemplative practices to diverse peoples in order to cultivate wellbeing and compassionate action in the world. She has taught and presented across the US and in the UK, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Rwanda. She is a trained Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) teacher and a trained Vision Quest Guide (nature-based rites of passage). Presently, she serves as Instructor and Board member for InStill Mindfulness, Steering Co-Chair for C-HEARTS (Contemplative Higher Education Alliance for Research, Teaching & Service) and Managing Director of The Coincidence Project. In all of her work, she seeks to empower people towards personal growth and establishing a compassionate relationship to all beings. Additional teaching credits include: undergraduate courses “Mindfulness & Compassion” and “The Art & Science of Human Flourishing” for UVA; facilitation of a year-long Contemplative Faculty Learning Community for college professors; and, “InSchools: MindEd for K12 Professionals” and “Embracing Change: A Guide for Resilience” for the general public, for InStill Mindfulness. Through contemplative practices, through coincidence work, and through music (with her band Unheards Sirens Inc.), she seeks to build a more kind, connected, and sustainable world for all beings.
