Karen graduated from the Virginia School of Massage in February of 2001.
My massage technique is a blend of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reiki, Compression, Craniosacral, Myofascial, and some breath work. It is based on what a client requests and using my observations and intuition. The goal is for the client to experience relaxation and assist in promoting feelings of wellbeing. Having a Massage can be beneficial in reducing stress, increasing circulation, and increasing awareness of the body/mind connection.
I am a firm believer in preventative medicine, and I feel that in addition to diet, exercise, meditation, and self-inquiry, regular massage can be very instrumental in wellbeing.
